About Us
Alex’s Team Foundation Inc. was established in June 2002 in order to perpetuate the essence of the iron will and determination of Alexandra Jane Miliotis, who lost her battle to Leukemia on March 15, 2002 at the age of 16.
The Foundation is a 501c3 not for profit organization supporting educational and respite opportunities for pediatric oncology care.
Our Mission
By supporting the fight to cure childhood cancer, Alex’s Team hopes to give every child a chance to follow a dream.
All proceeds from our fundraising efforts benefit the Foundation’s Fellowship Programs and endowment in partnership with Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School and Dr. Loren Walensky of Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Impact
Alex’s Team has granted over 40 research fellowships and 12 years of nursing support toward the advancement of pediatric cancer patient care.
By investing in these avenues of direct service, our goal is to raise awareness of childhood cancer and involve the best and brightest in the field to join our efforts to improve patient care and find a cure.
